SPOTTED will present at the FIWARE booth stage at Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC) in Barcelona (Spain) on 17 November 2022 at 14:45 (CET) for a 15-minute presentation on the project. SCEWC, taking place from 15-17 November, is the world’s leading event for cities, with tracks including Mobility, Enabling Technologies, Living and Inclusion, and Energy and Environment, to name a few. The presentation will be presented by Fernando López Aguilar (Cloud and Platform Senior Expert, FIWARE Foundation).

SPOTTED aims to provide an innovative solution based on the integration and customized processing of massive Open Data collections, including Earth Observation (EO) data, to monitor and support decision-makers in the field of green areas management. Its three pilots in Milan (Italy), Helsinki (Finland), and Naples (Italy) are focused on the monitoring and planning of green areas in the cities in relation to different factors, such as tourism impact, quality of life, and economic growth.

In addition, the occasion is also the perfect opportunity for the consortium to meet. On 15 November, a project meeting will take place to discuss topics, such as requirements and pilot preparation, technical development and deployment, and dissemination. Following the meeting, the consortium will attend the 2022 UserCentriSummit, also taking place in Barcelona. The event will focus on how Kyiv (Ukraine) and leading cities use digital technology to serve citizens in times of war and dislocation.
